Van tyres
Do you need new tyres for your van? Then give us a call at hometyre, we have various makes of van tyre, Light commercial tyre or reinforced / extra load tyres. If you own a business, why would you want to waste time at a tyre depot, when with one phone call you can arrange for Hometyre to visit you on site, saving you both time and money. Whether it's a small delivery van or one of the larger panel vans - even a minibus with twin rear wheels - our service vehicles are equipped and ready to change your tyres.
Do you require Runflat tyres for you car? Our service vehicles can handle runflats up to a MASSIVE 24" rim size. We can supply and fit most makes of Runflat. Give us a call for all the latest prices. Please note that to use runflats you must have tyre pressure monitoring equipment installed on your vehicle. These are usually TPMS valves or ABS controlled systems. In the case of TPMS Valves they have a 5 to 7 year battery life, at which point they need replacing, also some of the older versions tend to fail due to Galvanic corrosion. If this happens to your valves, then we at Hometyre can replace the TPMS valves at a price that usually beats most dealers and garages. (See TPMS below).
We have been advised by the tyre manufacturers themselves, not to make any repairs to runflats, so please don't ask.
As long as it is a puncture in the central area of the tread and of less than 6mm in diameter, then we can repair it to British standards, if economical to do so. Damage to the side walls and shoulders of tyres cannot be repaired.
Give hometyre a call on the free phone number, and we will come to you wherever you are stranded and fix your tyre if possible. We will also generally ask for your tyre size, and bring a spare tyre with us, incase it is not repairable.
Slow punctures can be caused by various problems ; Leaking valves, corrosion under the rim or an object inbedded in the tyre. In most cases these can also be solved by Hometyre.
Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS)
TPMS units are fitted to many vehicles including BMW's, Mini's, Lexus, Peugeots, Citroens, Chrysler and Ford models, from 2012 some form of monitoring will be fitted to all new vehicles. Some of the older cars fitted with these valves are now starting to see them fail, due to batteries running down, or Galvanic corrosion. Should yours fail, give us a call at hometyre as we can replace them at prices that beat most dealers.
We also install complete retro-fit systems with their own dash mountable monitor (Tyresure and Tyron tpms systems)
Caravan or Motorhome tyres
Hometyre specialise in the fitting of tyres to caravans, campervans, motorcaravans and motorhomes with or without tyron bands. We can supply 6 Ply, 8 Ply, reinforced, extra load or commercial tyres depending on the type of tyre your vehicle requires. Why take your leisure vehicle to a tyre depot when we can come to you at your home, storage are or even a camp site.
Locking Wheel Nut removal.
If you have lost or broken your locking wheel nut, then call hometyre. All of our vans carry specialist equipment that can remove the nuts / bolts without damaging your wheels. (Even the hardened steel Macguard nuts with the revolving collars). Depending on the type of removal, we may have to damage the nut / bolt itself, so you will have to supply replacements yourself.
One of my customers was quoted £ 400 to remove his locking wheel nuts by his main dealer. Another garage told me they don't have a set price, they charge by the hour. Here at Hometyre we have a basic set price, the only time this can increase is if we have to use more than one disposable key, these are an additional £5 per time. (Occasionally happens on overly tightened nuts)
The Photo shows some of the nuts / bolts I have removed recently.
What could be more simple? Tyres, wheel alignment, lock nut removals, TPMS Valve replacement or puncture repairs.
Timing to suit you - you let us know when and where you want our fully equipped state of the art service vehicle and trained technician to come to you - not just a.m. or p.m. but down to the hour! We will even come out some evenings and weekends if required.
Call and make that appointment NOW. Even the Phone call is free if you use 0800 7839310 from a landline.
I have made a booking but need to change the time and/or date. Is this OK?
Certainly. We accept that everyone's plans can change unexpectedly and will be happy to accommodate any difficulties you may experience in keeping a specific time. We would politely request as much notice time as possible in order for us to plan rerouting or book another customer into your time slot.

The fitter arrived on time. He was very courteous and informative. He got on with the job in hand and when he had finished he he explained the tyre codes to us. He also told us the date the tyres were made (just two months ago).
Top service.

Excellent. Saved time trying to get a slot at more than 1 garage. Mark did a gr8 job. Thanks for excellent service and value. Even checked the pressure of the other tyres I had just done the day before. 1 was 10lbs and the other 20lbs - so much for 20p machines
