Tyre Prices

Hometyre do not show online pricing, as we want to give you the best price available on the day. When you call or email our sales centre, they search all of our suppliers to find tyre availability and the best price for your tyres.  We then quote you based on that best price. The quote we give you includes the tyre, fitting, a new rubber valve, electronic balancing, vat & old tyre disposal. This also means that the tyres we supply are fresh from the manufacturers and not old stock. Winter tyres

Hometyre have access to a vast range of winter tyres.  With Hometyre you can order your tyres now, and pre-book a date and time to have them fitted.  Winter tyres are designed to work in temperatures of below 7^oC, at these lower temperatures summer tyres loose their elasticity and braking distances increase. Winter tyres are not just for snow, they work well in cold, wet conditions. (Ideally suited in the UK from November through to April).

Runflat Tyres

Some Manufacturers such as BMW, Mini, Lexus and Ford, have fitted Runflat tyres to their vehicles. These tyres are designed to get you home or to a garage in the case of a puncture, but are not designed to be repaired.  We at Hometyre can supply and fit Runflat (SSR) tyres up-to a 24" rim size.

Van Tyres

Do you use a van for work? Does it cost you money for every hour it is off the road having its tyres changed?  Then why not call out Hometyre, we will come to wherever you are working and change your van tyres on site.  This leaves you free to continue earning - doing your own work, while we do ours.

Wheel alignment - (Tracking)

Hometyre service vehicles carry Laser wheel alignment equipment. With this we can check your vehicles set-up,   and if out of alignment, adjust the vehicle back to the factory settings.

The wheel alignment process not only corrects the front wheels toe in / toe out but also corrects the front to rear alignment (Thrust)of the vehicle. At the end of the process your vehicle should have improved handling, better fuel consumption and reduced tyre wear,  all of which will save you money in the long run.

TPMS Valves

Later in 2012 all new vehicles will be supplied with some form of tyre pressure sensoring. Some older vehicles are already fitted with TPMS valves, and they are starting to fail. (They have a 5 to 7 year lifespan).  Hometyre have access to original manufacturer replacement sensor valves (TPMS) at prices that are better than most dealers.

Caravan tyres & Tyron Bands

A tyron safety band is a mechanical device that is fitted to the wheel once the new tyre has been fitted. It provides caravan tyre users with a limited 'run flat' type effect in the event of a blow out or puncture. 

Home tyre technicians, have all been trained in the fitting of tyron bands to caravans & motor caravans. These can be a new fitment with tyres, or a retro-fit, using your existing tyres.

Hometyre are recommended by Tyron to fit their safety equipment, not many garages are recommended or have the knowledge & expertise to install the bands correctly.

Have you also considered a CaravanTyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), as this is designed to monitor the tyre pressures not only on your caravan, but  can be set up for your towing vehicle as well. The system will alert you should any of the monitored tyres loose pressure, giving advance warning so you can safely pull over and check your tyres.
