How to Reset the TPMS Warning Light on a Dacia Sandero

Have you had your tyres changed with Hometyre Warrington on your Dacia Sandero, but that pesky TPMS light is still illuminated? Well, fear not, because we have some GOOD NEWS!

The TPMS warning light alerts you when one or more of your tyres are significantly under-inflated, however it can stay on when the tyres have been changed or had their inflation changed. Here's a simple step-by-step guide to help you reset the TPMS light after you've checked or corrected your tyre pressures.

Check and Adjust Tyre Pressures

Before resetting the TPMS light, you need to ensure all four tyres are inflated to the correct pressures. You'll find the recommended tyre pressures in the owner's manual or on the sticker located on the driver's side door pillar.

Reset the TPMS System

Once the tyre pressures are correctly adjusted, sit in the driver's seat and switch the ignition to the ON position (do not start the engine).

Depending on your Dacia Sandero's model year, there are two ways to reset the TPMS:

Option A: Using the Central Display / Steering Wheel Controls

Press the Menu button on the end of the wiper stalk or steering wheel control.
Use the toggle to scroll through the options until you find "Tyre Pressure" or "Tyre Set".
Select the option and confirm that you want to reset or "recalibrate" the TPMS.
You may see a confirmation message such as "Learning Tyre Pressures" or "Press and Hold to Confirm."
Follow the prompts, then turn the ignition off and back on. The light should go off after a short drive.

Option B: Using a Button Near the Gear Stick or Dashboard

On some older Sandero models, there may be a dedicated TPMS reset button located near the centre console.

Press and hold the TPMS button until the warning light blinks several times and then turns off.
Release the button, turn off the ignition, and then restart the car to verify the reset.

Drive for a Few Minutes

After resetting, take the car for a short drive (at least 10–15 minutes). The TPMS system will recalibrate, and the warning light should stay off if the pressures are correct.

The light is still there! What do I do now?

If the light is still illuminated solid, it could indicated a problem with your tyres. Check the tyre pressures are okay and for any signs of damage, like cuts, leaks and foreign objects in the tyre (We are experts in puncture repairs!)
