Remember that if you have a puncture or blowout with a runflat you can only drive a short distance and at low speed. The runflat is intended to let you drive to a point of safety to have the tyre replaced. Consult your car's manual for more information.
Because runflats have particulary stiff sidewalls not all garages are able or confident about changing them. Hometyre technicians are trained to change runflats and our vans have all the right equipment.
Tyres don't last forever, even if your caravan or campervan does a low annual mileage. Tyres deteriorate over time and with weather so even if they have a good deal of tread left check carefully the condition of the rubber. Look for cracks or signs of perishing in the sidewalls. You can also check the Date code on your tyre which will tell you when it was manufactured. Often much longer ago than you thought!.

Hometyre mobile tyre fitting vans are equipped with the latest laser wheel alignment equipment. Check the wear on your front tyres. If they show uneven or excessive wear on the inner or outer edges then your wheel alignment may need adjusting. Misaligned front wheels affect handling, increase tyre wear and can reduce fuel economy. Our technicians can check your wheel alignment and adjust it to the manufacturer's settings if necessary. Wheel alignment is also known as tracking.
If you notice a vibration either above a certain speed or at particular speeds then the first thing to have checked is that all your wheels are correctly balanced. When a new tyre is fitted weights are attached to the wheels to compensate for any uneveness in the tyre or wheel. Even new tyres are not perfect. A properly balanced set of wheels will give you a smooth ride. It can happen that the weights become dislodged and then your wheels will be out of balance. Our mobile tyre fitting vans carry a computer controlled balancing machine which our technicians will use to correctly balance your wheels and new tyres.

Locking Wheel Nut Removal Service
Most alloy wheels are fitted with one special wheel nut which requires a key or special tool to remove it. Without it you cannot have a puncture repaired or new tyres fitted. When the car was new the locking wheel nut key would have been in the glovebox or stored with the spare wheel. Do you know where yours is? If it is lost don't dispair, we have special equipment which can safely remove the existing locking wheel nuts from your vehicle.
